Summer 2020

Summer camps are going to look a little different this year but we're pleased to say that they're still happening! Instead of our usual indoor camps, we will be running half day camps in High Park for students aged 9 to adult! Youth & adults also have an online camp option.

We will be putting the following health and safety measures in place to keep our staff and students safe:

  • Lowered risk by being outdoors

  • All teachers will be wearing a face mask or face shield where a 2m distance is not possible (children are not required to wear masks or shields)

  • All materials and surfaces will be sprayed with disinfectant before and after use (brand: Fantastik Original All Purpose Cleaner, which is listed in the government of Canada's website as a 'hard surface disinfectant with evidence for use against COVID-19')

  • We will have hand sanitizer available and encourage students and teachers to sanitize their hands regularly throughout the morning (brand: Kleen RX Hand Sanitizer Gel – 70% Alcohol - Health Canada Approved – Medical Grade), and scheduled hand washing times.

  • Disposable gloves will be available

  • Daily health screenings of all staff and students including noting temperatures

  • All art materials will be individual, not shared. Students will take art work home with them each day.

  • Zero costumes and minimal props will be used. Props will be sprayed before and after each use.

  • We will encourage physical distancing, including throughout drama games & scene work

  • No open session on the last day. Instead, we will be filming some of the work throughout the week (for parents who have given us permission to do so) and sending it to parents after the camp week.

  • Students must have sunscreen applied before camp each day. We will not be applying sunscreen on students ourselves.

  • Being positive, gentle and patient when implementing all of the above so that our students don't feel overwhelmed and frightened by these new measures!

We have very limited spots available, so please get in touch sooner rather than later to save yours!

Join us for a summer in High Park!
